Through the sacraments, the grace of God touches every stage of our life — from baptism to the grave, and beyond.
The Orthodox Church knows seven great mysteries — Baptism and Chrismation, the Eucharist, Confession, Unction, Matrimony, and Holy Orders — and around them a constellation of smaller blessings for every hinge of a human life. Each is a door through which the uncreated grace of God enters the created world, and through which we, in our turn, are drawn quietly into Him.
